Kalimut is a picnic point is located between pine and fir trees. The place was formerly a diamond colliery and is a granite hill. The small village town is sited at the end of the amulet crest and is known for its serene and charming surroundings and is one of the best places to visit.
It is located at a height of approx. 1800m right on the bank of River Saraswati . The place is surrounded by the top of Kedarnath. There is a temple of Maa Kali which is gathered by the devotees throughout the year. The special thing about this temple is that there is no statue or idol situated into the temple, but only a Shriyantra is kept here.
Also, the great Sanskrit poet Kalidas was born here.
