Kumaon Regimental Centre Museum is sited uphill from the mall road, Almora which was established in 1970’s. The museum has famously known for assorted war treasures and weapons recovered during the multiple wars (like World War II and the 1962 china war).
The foremost purpose of the museum’s establishment was to pay admiration to the valiant soldiers who sacrificed their life to save our country from the enemies and to protect the culture of the Kumaon region. There museum showcases things like the belongings of Jhansi ki Rani Lakshmi Bai, Chinese rifles, Japanese wireless telephones and documents of Kargil war etc. There is also a coffin of General T. N. Raina kept.
