Badrinath is yet another popular pilgrim place in Uttarakhand. This town is situated in Chamoli district of Uttarkhand.
The name “badri” means a berry that was grown abundantly and “nath” means the lord. Being the home of Lord Vishnu on earth, Badrinath town was re-established by Guruji Adi Shankaracharya as one of the most distinguished pilgrim place in India. The town is pop in by uncountable pilgrims each year and the best time to visit here is during any major Hindu festival. But in earlier times, pilgrims were supposed to walk a hundred miles to reach the pilgrim “Badrinath Temple”.
