One of the largest Buddhist learning centres across India, The Mindrolling Monastery was founded in 1965. The meaning of “Mindrolling” is the “place of perfect emancipation” in Tibetan language.
The monastery has well-maintained gardens and a 60 meters high stupa and contains various rooms and a 35 meters high statue of Lord Buddha in Gold. The grand stupa is the tallest stupa. There are Tibetan cafes lined up around the monastery. The monastery was re-established by Khochhen Rinpoche, a prominent lama along with other monks of the Kagyu School of Tibetan Buddhism.
The monastery, famously known as Tibetan Monestary, is known for its architectural beauty. The art work on the stupa is so magnificent.
