Robber’s Cave, better known as “Guchchupani” is a formation of a river cave of approximately 8 km from the centre of Dehrduncity.
The length of the cave is approx. 600 meters long which is divided into mainly two parts. The highest fall of the cave is of approximately ten meters. There is a fort wall structure in the central part which is now broken, which has an extremely narrow gap formed.
It is a cave which has formed naturally wherein river flows from inside the cave. It is a famous spot for tourism and is being maintained by the state of Uttarakhand. The place is famous for its exceptional natural event known as the disappearing stream. This place owned this name because it is believed that in earlier times during the British Rule, robbers used this place to hide.
