Chandi Devi Temple dedicated to Godess Chandi Devi, also known as Devi Chandika (a form of Maa Durga), the temple is one of the most primeval temples in India. The temple magnetize to a vast number of devotees / pilgrims at the time of Navrata festival and the very famous Kumbh Mela.
The temple is located at a height of 2,900 meters from the sea level at 4 kms. away from famous Har Ki Paudi, Haridwar. To reach at the temple, the devotee has to either take a three kilometre trek from Chandighat or they can take a rope way cable car namely Chandi Devi Udankhatola. The length of the rope-way is 740 metres and the height is approx. 208 metres.
The temple opens between 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM and leather accessories, alcohol and non-vegetarian foods are strictly not allowed inside the temple premises.
