Lansdowne, Uttarakhand, India

Lansdowne is a small amiable hill station in Pauri garhwal, Uttarakhand, located at a height of approx. 1706 metre above sea level and has a perfect intensity throughout the year. The name of the place is named after its founder Lord Lansdowne.
During the pre-independence time, the main base of independent movement activities was here. Currently, the Indian Army’s legendary Garhwal Rifles command office is situated here.
Lansdowne is located near to many cities and is one of the many places of Uttarakhand, which are famous for their beauty and pleasant environment.  The place is perfect for the trekking as well as nature walks as the main attraction of the area is its climate.  During winter season, snowfall is conventional and the beautiful town becomes covered with the quilt of white snow.
