Surrounded by the high mountain ranges, Kempty falls are situated at a height of approx. 1364 metres above sea level on the hilly tracks of Tehri district of Uttarakhand, India. Thus, giving it a magnificent proximate to just sit and listen to the melodious sound of the water which falls on the rocky bed of the water. The place was developed as a tourist destination by Mr. John Mekinan, a British officer around 1835.
Kempty Falls are located on Mussoorie Dehradun highway which is approx. 13 kilometres away from Mussoorie and 45 kilometres from Dehradun. The place has some shops that sell souvenirs and artefacts. It is advisable to plant your visit to the Falls within the sunlight and should leave the place before sunset as the area has a narrow winding road which leads to a difficult driving.
